Windsor is the headquarters for the Weld RE-4 Windsor/Severance School District. It operates five elementary schools, two middle schools, including Severance Middle School, and Windsor High School. Higher education options are ample in Northern Colorado, including the University of Northern Colorado, Aims Community College (both in Greeley) and Colorado State University and Front Range Community College (in Fort Collins).
Windsor boasts three championship golf courses, an indoor ice rink and soccer complex, a beautiful outdoor pool in its city park, two indoor in-line skating/hockey rinks, water skiing on Windsor Reservoir and easy access to the Poudre River Trail that provide recreational opportunities for residents.
